Manual focus tele lens techniques with m4/3 for birds and BIF's I work on the principle that he who dies with the most toys wins. Heck, I'm soon to buy a second and better bandsaw. It will be like my home workshop, plenty of routers, planers, battery drills etc, they all have their individual uses. Maybe there's room for both in my future. It doesn't have that Prime noise reduction ability but it does have a lot of other useful and easy ways to do things.

But Silkypix is so good and I'm so used to it that I may even spend up big and get the current V10 to update from my old but good V5. In my case I left Silkypix to go to DxO as it was a cheaper option at the time to carry on with. Hopefully Black Friday will do the same trick, but then discounts "seasons" pop up all the time with DxO. The chart of differences Essentials > Elite is at For instance it turned my old Panasonic LX3 into a new camera where base ISO improved and I am now game to use it above ISO 400.
The Elite version adds that excellent (but slow) Prime noise reduction that can rescue many high ISO shots, it also works well on base ISO shots with some cameras to get rid of the very common sky noise. Would you recommend the Elite version? Probably wait till this year's Black Friday discounts. See I can update to Elite right now with a 15% discount. Google is your friend.īought the Essentials version last Black Friday. Uninstalling, deleting a specific folder, then reinstalling helped others while someone had to "clean" the registry to fix the problem. Since you've already tried some troubleshooting, check ( ) for possible solutions. Export to JPG or TIF works just fine for me.

I have the same gift version of DXO OpticsPro v11.4.2 (build 12373) installed on a Windows 10 圆4 PC. Therefore I asked to see would any other users have similar issue. I therefore uninstalled it, reinstalled again but the problem persists. This morning (May 1) while I wished to handle some RAW files, the Export to Disk option has been disabled. I had also the Film Pack 5 been installed in Dec 2017. It is installed on my Windows 10 圆4 PC since it was first downloaded in Oct 2017, and worked perfectly OK until yesterday.
DxO discounts happen from time to time and best seems to happen (with luck) on Black Friday at 50% for the last two years.

I don't spend on cameras any more so keeping the software updated and alive is my substitute spending area. Particularly that Elite Prime noise reduction. It was worth it as the program gets better and better each time. With that V7 trial I was sufficiently impressed and paid for V9.5 and over time wandered through all the updates to arrive at the current Photolab3. Best to email them to see what happened to V11. So if the V7 still works I would suspect that the V11 freebie should also behave properly. Plus it converted and saved some old Panasonic LX3 raws OK.
In my case started with the free V7 and just now found it in my old backups and reinstalled it and the free license number still worked.
So wonder members here who are still using this free version DXO would have similar problem as me? The on-line help web link is no longer valid and there has been no info from DXO so far. Today on May 1, I found my version no longer allowed me to export the file (jpg or RAW) after edited/converted. I was still able to work with this piece of software yesterday. I had installed the give away DXO Optics Pro 11 (mine version should be the latest: Ver 11.4.2, Built 12373) back in 2017 October and so far it did a good job.
